Apollo Moon Landing 40th Anniversary
It’s been forty years since we landed on the moon! Come celebrate with the Fortieth Anniversary of Apollo with the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics. Visit the California Science Center’s SKETCH Foundation Gallery Air & Space Exhibits. Visitors will be able to see Dr. Buzz Aldrin’s moon rock and an example of an actual Apollo Capsule. At the Loker Conference Center attend a panel discussing “From Apollo XI to the First Humans on Mars.” Panelists include: Dr. Buzz Aldrin, Apollo XI Astronaut, Dr. Howard McCurdy – Moderator, Richard Searfoss – STS 90 Mission Commander, Jim Stammreich – VP of Strategy of the Boeing Company, Thomas Taverney – Sr. Vice President of SAIC, Michael Sander – JPL Rover Scientist, and Dean Davis, AIAA LA Section Chair.
