09.12.09 March on DC

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

It’s time to take the tea party movement directly to Washington, D.C. Please join thousands of local organizers and grassroots Americans from across the country as we gather in our nation’s capital to deliver a message to the politicians: Enough! We’ve had enough of the out of control spending, the bailouts, the growth of big government and the soaring deficits. And we reject the future tax increases to pay for all of this spending and debt down the road. We are gathering on 9-12-2009 to deliver our message in person that we’ve had enough! Texting for Dollars“Text to give” campaigns gained notoriety from their phenomenal success in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the Indonesian tsunami.  Since then, over 150 non-profits have raised over $500,000 through $5 text donations in 2008.  Under the mGive system, users can text a pre-determined keyword linked to a nonprofit or fundraising campaign to the 90999 shortcode.  A $5 text-message donation will then appear on the user’s phone bill.  Join us this month to find out if mGiving is right for your organization and learn the tips and tricks from seasoned experts on how to run a successful mobile giving campaign.
